Those snicker nites are super healthy and easy to make , in no time !
Dates should NOT be feared. Yes, there’s a time and place where one might need to eliminate them from their diet (ie: candida diet, diabetic, etc.) and I had to omit dates for a while myself…..but that was only for a time and for a purpose. Now I CAN have them and love dates! They are natures caramel candy and actually have amazing benefits for IBS!
WHAT?! DATES ARE ACTUALLY HEALTHY FOR YOU? HOW CAN THEY HELP IBS?
Dates are high in both soluble and insoluble fiber. Insoluble fiber is the type that can be dissolved in water without being digested. So when dates are consumed, they can also absorb excess water in the colon and help prevent diarrhea.
Tannins are also present in dates which help prevent hemorrhoids as well as the ability to counteract bacteria! And we all want beneficial bacteria in the digestive system, right?
Of course, everything in moderation. But my point is that dates should not be feared and are God’s gift to us to be enjoyed! So why not enjoy them?! I mean, would you choose to eat a Snickers bar or a couple of these?
